The Economic Development Partnership of Alabama (EDPA) is partnering with universities, entrepreneurs, investors and companies to help strengthen the entrepreneurial climate in Alabama and make this generation of economic development a priority for the state.
 

Each year, as part of the Alabama Launchpad program, EDPA hosts the Alabama Innovation Awards designed to help high growth companies start, stay and grow in Alabama. Categories of award include Lifetime Achievement in Innovation, Outstanding Achievement in Innovative Manufacturing, Outstanding Public-Private Partnership for Innovation, Corporate Innovator of the Year (small company) and Corporate Innovator of the Year (large company).
 

In 2015, To Your Health Sprouted Flour Co. won the award for Outstanding Achievement in Innovative Manufacturing. To Your Health Sprouted Flour Co. was recognized for creating 32 full-time jobs in Bullock County, Alabama and growing production that started as sprouting wheat in mason jars in a home kitchen, to a company with specially designed equipment to handle current production of 70,000 pounds per week.
 

To Your Health Sprouted Flour Co. Owner and President, Peggy Sutton, is pleased to be among the esteemed ranks of judges for the 2016 competition. Other judges for this year’s competition include ADTRAN CEO Tom Stanton, Billy Harbert, CEO of BL Harbert International; Ralph Hargrove, President and CEO of Hargrove Engineers + Constructors; Harris Morrissette, President of China Doll Rice & Dixie Lily and Neil Wright, Executive Vice President of Liberty Bank.
 

This year’s winners will be announced at the awards ceremony to be held August 31, 2016 in Birmingham, Alabama.
