Sprouted Spelt Cookies with Dark Chocolate & Sea Salt

Sprouted Spelt Cookies with Dark Chocolate & Sea Salt

Ingredients

3 oz butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cup sprouted spelt flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp sea salt plus more for sprinkling
3/4 cup dark chocolate chips

 

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 325°F.
  • Cream butter and sugar together. Add egg and vanilla and continue mixing.
  • Mix all dry ingredients in a separate bowl. Slowly add to wet ingredients and blend.
  • Fold in dark chocolate chips.
  • Shape dough and place on ungreased cookie sheet (or spray lightly with pan spray if you prefer). Sprinkle each cookie with sea salt and press in slightly so it will stick to the tops of the cookies.
  • Bake at 325°F for 10 to 15 minutes. Cool completely on wire rack before serving.
